it takes balls of steel to make it in this biz

The New York Times covers the the last pinball factory in the US. It includes a glimpse into a dwindling industry that hasn't lost it's sense of fun. It also includes funny quotes from the curator of the Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas that is a must-see destination for any pinball fan.

    twilight zone poker chip

Have you ever seen that episode of the Twilight Zone called A Penny For Your Thoughts? In it a young Dick York flips a quarter and lands it on it's edge. For some reason this grants him the ability to read minds until the quarter is knocked over. I always thought it was just a story, but here I just happened to be testing out my new video camera while playing a heads-up game of Hold Em. Needless to say I knew I had lost as soon as I saw it happen. It was just a matter of moments before I lost all of my chips. Now thanks to the power of YouTube, you can witness my humiliation first hand!

    I suck

Despite my big talk about three-peating, I was the very first person eliminated from this month's Little League World Series of Poker. I started feeling sick in the middle of the tourney, and I still haven't totally recovered. I made terrible decisions and came out a loser, but I'll be back in form for the next one.
