I went to my first one after around a year of not being able to make it and I had a lot of fun. It's basically a mass bike ride held on the third Friday of each month from 8pm to Midnight (or so) that explores a different part of the south bay each month. <p> It's a long ride, usually over 25 miles or so, but it was flat enough and slow enough that I did the whole thing on my heavy, one-speed cruiser. It was pretty cold (especially for May) but the vibe was fun and upbeat and I can't wait to do it on a warmer night.
